Shannon Maddasion, School Director, has been an educator, manager, and mentor in the early childhood field for over 20 years. She has three beautiful children of her own and has a passion for educating young children. Shannon attended Sam Houston University where she majored in Early Childhood Education. She has been with Children's Lighthouse since 2013 and enjoys the partnership with the Harvest Green community!
Hello, my name is Ashley Delafuente, and I am the Curriculum Coordinator at Children’sLighthouse-Harvest Green. I've been working in education for several years, and I'vehad the pleasure of working with kids of all ages. It's amazing to see children develop alove for learning, and I'm absolutely passionate about education. I'm currently pursuinga degree in Social Sciences at the University of Houston Downtown, where I'mexpanding my knowledge and excitement for education. My goal is to create a warm,welcoming environment for children, teachers, and parents, where everyone feelssupported and valued. I'm dedicated to using my expertise in our B.R.I.G.H.T ,C.A.R.E.S., and Quest curriculum to empower our teachers to provide the besteducation for our children. As a mom to a wonderful son, I understand the importanceof creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for little ones to learn and grow. Inmy free time, I love spending time with my family, diving into a good book, and playingsports like softball and volleyball. Hello! My name is Laney Poorsaid, and I am thrilled to be a part of Children's Lighthouse Harvest Green since 2020. With my extensive early childhood experience, I have had the pleasure of working in various roles at our school, including Assistant Teacher, Private Kindergarten Lead Teacher, and Curriculum Assistant. Holding a bachelor’s degree in business management from Southern New Hampshire University has equipped me with the skills to excel in my role as the School Administrator. I am incredibly passionate, driven, and determined to bring my bubbly energy to our school every day. When I'm not busy in the classroom, you can find me indulging in my love for plants, watching movies, and cherishing precious moments with my incredible family. As the School Administrator, my main goal is to create an environment that is warm, welcoming, and comfortable for parents, staff, and children alike. Hello, My name is Hannah DeSoto-Smith, and I am the Office Assistant at Children's Lighthouse-Harvest Green. I have been in the youing child educaiton field for many years now. Those years included working with childrens of all ages! I enjoy watching chidlren develop a natural love for learning and am incredibly passionate about education. I obtained my CDA in the Infant/Toddler setting, and intend to further my CDA Certification. My goal is to create a warm and positive enviornment for each child while in my care. I prioritize taking the tinme to connect with each child in Children's Ligthosue Harvest Green, all teachers, and parents so that they may always feel understood, welcomed, and suppoerted. It's a top priority of mine to utilze my knowledge of our Bright, C.A.R.E.S., and Quest curriculum to provide support for our teachers in and to provide the best educaiton to our children. Along, with being a teacher, I am a wife and mom to a wonderful 9 year old son! I absolutely love being a mom! In my down time, I like to spend the opportunity to bond with my family and dog, Nala. I enjoy listening to music and watching movies. I am excited to be part of children's learning and a part of the Children's Lighthouse-Harvest Green family!
