We are the Saldanha and Wahi families. We have taken our friendship of 20 years and come together with a shared vision of creating a community of children that are safe, nurtured and will develop a love for learning from a very young age.  We strive to create and maintain an environment that is not only an educational childcare but conducive for their overall growth and development. To accomplish this, we have partnered with the industry’s leading franchise, Children’s Lighthouse, to bring a premier quality preschool and child care to the Imperial-Sugarland area. We provide an excellent, well-rounded  Lighthouse proprietary  C.A.R.E.S curriculum that is a nationally accredited program by AdvancED. based around a modern Montessori approach. We’re excited that it will be the first Children’s Lighthouse in the Sugarland area and it will be our pleasure to serve all the wonderful communities around us. We are very thankful for this opportunity.

Glenice Saldanha and Harveen Wahi are the co-owners  of Children's Lighthouse of Imperial-Sugarland.  For Glenice,  this is her second preschool in the Houston area.  She has been successfully operating The Children's Lighthouse of Spring-Harmony location for over 5 years and was also awarded the country wide and prestigious “Golden Anchor Award” by the franchise company. Glenice holds a  graduate degree in Early Childhood Education & Finance. She is a child advocate and consistently strives to ensure all children receive the best care and education at the school as well as meet parents’ expectations. She is married to Savio and is a mother of three boys.

Harveen Wahi has a degree in Arts and also Apparel Design and Merchandising/Finance from ULL Louisiana. Where she graduated ‘Magna Cum Laude’.  She has worked in various positions as faculty in leading institutions of design internationally, as well as held various corporate positions. She was highly inspired by her grandmother who ran a private elementary school for many years.  The well being of her and all children has been her top priority and something close to her heart since she became a mother.  She has been passionate about working with young minds, volunteering and committedly involved in various schools at multiple levels.  She is married to Puneet and is a mother of two boys.

Together, Glenice and Harveen know that being a parent is not easy. They take great pride in being able to provide a childcare program where parents can entrust their kids to a nurturing and loving staff that has been trained for excellence.
